About Us

The Grand Baby Project aims to improve the lives of those living with Dementia through our innovative therapy doll and training program. Founded by Tonja Moon, The Grand Baby Project is a 5013(c) nonprofit that honors her Grandmother, Ruby. Ruby suffered from Dementia but found peace and daily purpose in her baby doll.

 Our therapy dolls have been very specifically chosen due to their size, weight, soft silicone limbs and cuddly body. Our babies have very unique happy facial expressions and no hair (for sanitary reasons). Clothes can be easily washed and babies can be wiped down for cleanliness. You are able to chose the race and ethnicity.

 Dementia therapy doll intervention is a non-pharmacologic way to address negative behaviors.  Research studies show benefits include:

Increased socialization, increased activity levels, improved food intake, decreased wandering, decreased obsessions, decreased anxiety, fewer outbursts and improved mood.
